Do Louis/Saji count as “civilian perspectives”? If not, the show lacked that interesting element, or maybe there were others, like Saji’s sister or someone. Not like it was meant to capture that element anyway, though I’d think post 9-11 power politics has something to do with reworking public/private spheres in relation to “war”.
On second thought, I remember seeing something like this in regards to Geass.
